We are honored to present our featured Kumu Hula, Leialoha Lim Amina, who will share her expertise during the course of the 2008 Hawaiian Hula Days workshop.  We look forward to seeing you there!

The Hula Association of the Midwest is a new non-profit group currently being organized to serve the Hawaii, hula community and business throughout the Midwestern States.

Our Purpose is to:

  • bring together all of those living in the Midwest who share an interest in hula, Hawaii and the aloha spirit.
     
  • promote cultural awareness and education of hula and Hawaii throughout the Midwest.
     
  • plan and/or promote various hula Hawaiian related events here in the Midwest.
     
  • spread the aloha spirit with some *good fun* get togethers for all those in the Midwest who love Hawaii.
Who Can Join?

You can join Hula Association of the Midwest if you:

1.     Live anywhere in the Midwestern United States

AND are any of the following:

2.     a leader of a halau
        a member of a halau
        a Hawaiian-style entertainer
        a Hawaiian-style vendor
        any person with *aloha* for hula and Hawaii
